Some Rescued Animals Need Help from Locals

 An 85-year-old Estill County resident, Bobby Osborne has charged with 18 counts of animal cruelty and 17 counts of dogs not being vaccinated against rabies.

The Estill County Sheriff’s Office found dogs with clear signs of disease and poor health. They say the horse had exposed ribs and no access to shelter serving a search warrant

The Sheriff's Dept then contacts Estill County Animal Control Director Chris Winters, and he was met with federal agents he arrived. at Cressy Road residence. There were more than a dozen dogs lacking fur. Also, their skin covered in scabs due to the Mange that they were carrying. The animals are in desperate need of medical attention.

Winters took them to at the Estill County Animal Shelter that is already at capacity. However, some of the dogs are being taken to the Wolfe County Animal Shelter, many thanks to volunteers like David Wagner.

Estill County Animal Shelter and Wolfe County Animal Shelters not only serve their counties, but the surrounding counties like Lee, Powell, and even Breathitt and Owsley Counties.
