Thelma Ann Brandenburg,

Thelma Ann Brandenburg, a beloved mother, friend, and devoted follower of her faith, passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on August 28, 1932, in Owsley County, Kentucky, Thelma was a God-fearing woman whose trust in the Lord was the foundation of her life. Her smile could light up a room, and her unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her life, Thelma dedicated herself to her church, family, friends, and foster children, meeting every challenge with grace and humility. Her love, strength, and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and faith.

  She is survived by one brother Darma Lee Osborne (Imogene), her two daughters, Gail Rogers and Debbie Sowers (Douglas), along with grandchildren, Eddie Cornett (Danielle), Charista Wylie (Eric), Takisha Caudell, Michael Paul Thorpe, Jeremy Charles (Karla), Branden Coomer (Hilary), and Heather Howard (Tommie Lee) and her great grandchildren, Eliscia Wylie, Jennica Nelson (Ethan), Kirayl Caudell, Bethann Wylie, Hailey Rogers, Caden Johnson, Brailyn Howard, Hunter Rogers, Riley Coomer, Natalee Howard, Aubree Howard, Reid Charles, and Carter Coomer who will forever cherish the love and values she instilled in them. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends and in the faith community she served so devotedly.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Brandenburg, three daughters, Barbara Hobbs, Mamie Charles, and Maddelene Brandenburg, her parents, Albert and Maude Cole Osborne, and her brothers and sister, Ceyphus Eugene “Gene”, Russell, Ervie, and Jake Osborne and Reba Snyder. 
A celebration of her life held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Newnam Funeral Home with a service to honor her deep and abiding faith. 
   Jeremy Charles, Branden Coomer, Michael Paul Thorpe, Douglas Sowers, Eric Wylie, and Tommie Lee Howard will serve as pallbearers.
   Burial Brandenburg Cemetery of Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
