Decoursie “Poodle” Morris,

Decoursie “Poodle” Morris, age 92, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, located in Lexington, KY.

Poodle was born September 23, 1931 in Beattyville, KY, a son to the late Harlan and Tillie Morris. He was a farmer, and in his free-time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and digging ginseng. He was a member of the Spencer Ridge Church of Christ.

He is survived by 3 sisters; Cora Coffman of Wayne, MI, Fredia Fields of Richmond, IN, and Mary Ann Mayse of Beattyville, and well as many other loving family members, and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Marion Morris, Herman Morris, Ray Morris, Charles Morris, and Larry Morris, and 1 sister; Addie Allen.

A graveside service held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Morris and Mayse Family Cemetery, located on Spencer Ridge, in Beattyville, KY, with Pastor Garrett Thomas officiating. He was laid to rest in the Morris and Mayse Family Cemetery. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
