Ethel Mann

Ethel Mann, widow of Garland Mann and daughter of the late Willie and Dora Moore Charles was born in Lee County, Kentucky on June 25, 1936 and departed this life in Hazard, Kentucky on May 15, 2025 at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 20 days. Mrs. Mann leaves behind four children, Connie Douglas and husband Duane of Beattyville, Kentucky, Kenneth Mann also of Beattyville, Alva Joyce Mann of Lake Orion, Michigan, and Veronica Deaton of Houghton Lake, Michigan; four grandchildren, Chantell Emmons and husband Robert of Rogers, Kentucky, Whitney Douglas of Beattyville, Kentucky, Kyle Scherlinck and wife Rebeca of Missouri, and Rick Deaton and wife Brittany of Houghton Lake, Michigan; one great grandchild, Duane Douglas of Beattyville; brother and sister Phillip Charles and wife Marcy of Winchester, Kentucky and Mida Jean Bolton and husband William of Auburn Hills, Michigan; a host of nieces and nephews; and good friends, Eric and Frankie of Beattyville, Kentucky. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lucille Rose, Russell, Roy Lee, Ralph, Betty, Dallas, and Billy Paul Charles. Service held May 19th, 2025 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
