A Search is on for an Escaped Inmate in Lee County

According to the Kentucky State Police Post, Richmond Post #7, is actively searching for an inmate, as of May 31 ,2025, who escaped from Three Forks Regional Jail just before 5pm. on Thursday, May 30, 2025.
KSP was notified shortly before 11:00 pm on May 30, 2025, that Jeffrey Harrison, 43, of Lexington, KY, had been inadvertently released after falsely identifying himself as his brother, who was scheduled for release. His release was not discovered until jail staff conducted roll call last night.
Jeffrey Harrison is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, weighing 138 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Harrison was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, camouflauge shoes, and a black hat. Harrison is believed to have left the area in an older model white Subaru.
Harrison was serving a sentence for Promoting Contraband in the 1st degree.
Anyone who may have information about the location of Jeffrey Harrison is asked to call their local law enforcement or KSP Post #7 at 859-623-2404.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Douglas Holt.
