Russell Addison

Russell Addison, age 82, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. Born on March 30, 1943, in Heidelberg Kentucky. Russell was one of ten children born to his parents, Millard Filmore Addison and Eva Quillen Addison. Russell graduated from Lee County High School. Following graduation, Russell moved to Lexington, where he established a strong work ethic and dedicated many years to Parker Seal, IBM, and finally Lexmark, where he retired. Russell was preceded in death by his siblings: Winford R. Addison (Deloris), Lavina A. Hughes (Manford), Joseph M. Addison (Helen), Kenneth L. Addison, Clifford R. Addison (Mae Lena), Polly A. McDaniel

(Bernard) and one brother in law, Jesse Clemons. He is survived by his sisters, June A. Clemons, Mary Jane Wilson (Robert) and Ada Frances Durbin (Paul) and one sister-in-law Dorothy D. Addison. He is survived by several loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

   The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to two special caregivers, Debbie Hamilton and Mary Trent, for their compassionate and dedicated support during Russells illness. They also wish to thank the University of Kentucky Cancer Care Center and Bluegrass Care Navigators for their exceptional care and kindness.

   Services held May 22nd, 2025 at Kerr Bros. Funeral Home of Lexington, KY. Burial in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers; Brian Hughes, John Clemons, James Addison, Austin Addison, Thomas Addison, and Sixto Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert (Bob) Wilson, Paul Durbin, Greg Wilson and Eugene W. Kiser Jr.
