WEKU Quotes Lee County's Own Judge-Executive Steve Mays Concerning Trump's Executive Decisions

As Judge-Executives across Kentucky meet at Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate for a conference this week, news organizations scanned the room for comments from Kentucky Judge-Executives from across the Commonwealth on various subjets. One subject that was broached by WEKU, was their thoughts of President Trump's second term so far.

Many are excited about Trump and his executive decisions, including our own Lee County Judge-Executive, Steve Mays, He is quoted as saying, “I’ve been for Trump every time he's ever ran. I think he’s doing a great job. He's doing exactly what he was going to do and with the tariffs, that's a negotiating tool I think that he's using. And I think Trump is smart. He's a negotiator, and he's somebody that can get something done.”

This was the thought of many at the conference including Freddie Lewis of Pike County and Time Sayler of Johnson County. Judge Mays was clearly in a crowd of like minded people.
