Verda Jean Chambers Moore, 51 of Beattyville, KY, beloved wife of Steve Moore, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 31st, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Albert Chambers and Edna Riley Chambers, born in Campton, KY on March 3rd, 1972. She was a housekeeping custodian. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Moore of Beattyville, 4 sons; Michael Robert Chambers of Lexington, Johnny (Abby) Ray Chambers of Milton, KY, William Albert Rice of Milton, KY, and Jacob Kyle Rice of Beattyville, 2 grandchildren; Brayden C Jansen of Versailles, IN, and Kyler L Rice of Richmond, KY, 2 brothers; Bill Keathley of TN, and Mike (Janice) Chambers of Beattyville, 3 sisters; Susan (Harold) Swales of MI, Dottie Miller of Milton, KY, and Renee Smith of Beattyville along with a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parens, Albert and Edna Chambers, 1 brother; Herman Ray Chambers and 1 sister; Vivian Mae Strong. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. Services held Feb. 3rd, 2024 at Porter & Sons Funeral Home of Campton, KY. Officiating; Nikki Horn. Porter & Sons in charge of arrangements.
