Truck almost wrecks and leaves animal body parts, blood, and meat on Hwy 11 in Beattyville

As of Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, officials have confirmed that the gruesome scene on the side of the road in Beattyville was the result of a truck that almost crashed that spilled “animal parts” across Kentucky Highway 11.

A dump truck carrying what appeared to be animal parts lost its load on the highway. A witness reported the debris included “body parts, blood, and meat” strung across the roadway.

The incident occurred on Kentucky Highway 11 North near Farmers State Bank, with debris spread from the Dairy Queen through town and across the bridge toward Booneville.

The incident took place around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025. 

Crews removed the debris from the roadway. The Kentucky State Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
