Steve was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend. Every time he was with you, he would ask you about yourself. He was always interested in “you”. He made you feel good by always letting you know what an excellent job you were doing. Steve was an encourager, jokester, and all-around lovable person. He was always affectionate, silly, and fun to be around. There was never a time that you would engage in a game of chess, checkers, or a board game that he wanted to win, his competitive spirit would always inspire you to do better. Steve was intelligent and had a lot of knowledge, not only was he brilliant in math but he could give valuable advice. When he loved, he loved with passion. When he bought you a gift, he bought it with passion. When he gave you a compliment you, he made you feel like you could reach for the stars. Steve loved his wife Betty of almost 55 years, there is nothing he wouldn’t do or any lengths that he wouldn’t go to make her happy. He knew she loved him, and he was thankful for the way she took care of him till the very end. Steve also loved the Lord. He had a wonderful heart. He would always participate in prayer, and he would say there was nothing the Lord couldn’t do. Steve will be greatly missed as a husband, father, grandfather and many more roles. Steve’s grandkids knew he had a special place for them. He would watch tv shows that made them laugh, play walkie-talkies with them, chess games, and have conversations about knives and guns. They could talk to him about anything and everything! They always enjoyed seeing him. Steve always had a special place in his heart for dogs.He could see the good in everyone. His witty sense of humor always made people laugh with his silly nick names and stories. Funeral Services Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home.
