Robert Ligah Hollon, son of the late Eligah and Vadie Virginia Rogers Hollon was born on August 6, 1952 in Clay City, Kentucky and departed this life in Winchester, Kentucky on February 18, 2025 at the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 12 days. He was a former electrical lineman, and a member of the Lee County Volunteer Fire Department and IBEW 369.
Robert is survived by two sons, Aaron Hollon and wife Baylee of Beattyville, Kentucky and Alex Hollon and wife Brittney of Vincent, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kenlee, Waylon, Silas, Aggie Ann, Tripp, and an expected grandchild; two sisters, Cindy Piersall and Ivy Morton both of Stanton, Kentucky; his canine best friend, Harley; and a host of other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eligah and Vadie Hollon and several brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The Fallen Linemen Organization or the Shriner’s Hospital. A graveside service will be held at Rock of Ages Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, February 22, 2025 with Scott Brandenburg officiating. Newnam Funeral in charge of arrangements.
