JACKSON, Ky.  – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a public meeting to discuss the proposed reconstruction of KY 11 in Lee County.

The public meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lee County Elementary, 1665 Hwy. 11 South, Beattyville. The meeting is informal and in an open-house format, meaning no formal presentations will be made. Participants may attend at any time during the meeting.

This project would be another link in the proposed I-75 to Mountain Parkway corridor and would complete the connection between Beattyville and London.  Attendees will be able to view maps and displays showing the alignments under consideration, ask questions, and provide general feedback to project team members. KYTC representatives will be available to receive comments and respond to questions.

Written statements will be accepted during the meeting, and by mail or e-mail until Feb. 19. Written statements should be addressed to Darren Back, P.E., Kentucky Department of Highways, P.O. Box 621, Jackson, KY 41339. E-mail should be addressed to darren.back@ky.gov. Comment sheets distributed during the meeting can be returned using the provided postage-paid envelope.

Disabled persons wishing to attend the meeting who need special accommodations may request them by contacting Darren Back, P.E., project manager, at (606) 666-8841. The request does not need to be made in writing.
