Powell County Detention Center Employee Arrested and Charged with 3rd degreee Sodomy

On Saturday, August 20, 2025, Powell County Jailer Teddy Lacy arrested an employee, charging her with Sodomy, 3rd Degree.

According to her arrest citation, Samantha Catron was “captured on video surveillance having deviate sexual intercourse with an incarcerated person, while offender was a contracted employee of Powell County Detention Center via Kellwell Food Management.”

According to records, officials say she admitted to the intercourse during a recorded interview.

The jail confirmed Catron is currently being held at the Powell County Detention Center and is awaiting transfer to another facility as of Saturday, August 20, 2025.

All are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
