Mr. Tony Eugene Turner, 74, passed away December 27, 2023 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky following a long illness.
He was born September 8, 1949 in Oneida, Kentucky. Was the son of the late Henry Bascom and Bertha Fox Turner, and was a Realtor, Real Estate Broker/ Auctioneer and attended the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife Maxine Hobbs Turner of Booneville, Kentucky, three children Alexis Danielle Turner, Jimmy Dale Turner of Booneville, Kentucky and Sean Turner of Lexington, Kentucky. Three step-children Jason Gibson of Clay County, Kentucky, Cassie Campbell of Clay County, Kentucky and James Taylor Gibson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Two sisters Carolyn Combs and Tammy
Svatba of Beattyville, Kentucky. Also he leaves behind as host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Bascom and Bertha Turner. Visitation services for Mr. Turner was held Friday, December 29, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home and his funeral was held on Saturday, December 30. 2023 at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home, officiating the service was Rev. Jamie Brunk with the burial following in the Brandenburg
Cemetery in Owsley County, Kentucky. Pallbearers were Gary Hobbs, Jerry Hobbs, Jess Bishop, Glen Thompson, Marvin R., Mike Ray and Cody H.
The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangement.
