LUCY ROSE MINTER DEBORD, age 96, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, KY. Lucy was born July 30, 1927, in Ricetown, Ky, a daughter to the late Brown and Fannie Wilson Minter. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a retired beautician of more than 50 years. She was also a member of the Indian Creek Presbyterian Church. She is survived by 3 sons; Gary (Tonya) Debord of Tyner, Ky, Jim (Lisa) Debord of Richmond, Ky and Ronnie (Andra) Debord of Booneville, Ky, and one brother; Tommy (Geraldine) Minter of Ricetown, Ky. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and friends. Along with her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack E. Debord, two sons, William Debord and infant son Donnie Debord, one brother, Wilson Minter and three sisters, Ella Fay Gibson, Anna Mae Rice and Virginia Ruth Blackburn. Funeral services December 13, 2023 at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Sandlin officiating.
