LCMHS “Pride of the Mountains” Band (pictured above) was asked by the Beattyville Main Street Program to perform at their School Spirit September Cruise-In at the Town Square located on Main Street in Beattyville on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
The band gave a performance of songs that they plan on performing at band competitions that they are gearing up for the next 2 and half months in hopes of making to Nationals in November at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The Beattyville Main Street Program also gave a donation to the band presented by Mayor Scott Jackson to LCMHS Band Director Tony Barrett ( pictured uper right).
The “Pride of the Mountains” band is majority funded through donations for competitions. So, be sure to donate when you can to such a worthy cause, because these kids work hard and are the future of our fine county.
The next bucket shake at Dairy Queen for the band will be Monday, September 8, 2025 4pm to 6pm.
