The annual LCMHS Senior Night for 2026 took place Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Heber Dunaway Gymnasium.
Basketball, cheerleader, band members, Color Guard, track and field Seniors were honored at the event. They are as follows:
Leanna Raines - Leanna was escorted by her parents, Shannon and Vernon Rains. LEanna has been in band for the past 7 years. Leanna plans to attend Easatern Kentucky University to complete the Elementary Education Program and to start a career in teaching Mathematics . Her quote is, "The futre belongs to those who believe in their dreams." - Eleanor Roosevelt
Koda Moore - Koda was escorted by Rebekah Hogan and Shaun Moore. HE has participated in pep band and marching band for four years. He has also been a member of Student Council, eSports team, and the track team. Koda plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University and get his degree in business. His quote is, "try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." - Albert Einstein.
Joseph Brownfield - Jospeh was escorted tonight by his parents, Barbara and David Bronwfield. He has been a member of the band for five years. Jospeh plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University to major in music education. His quote is, "People arent wicked or noble. They are like chef salads, with good things and bad things chopped and mixed toget in a vinaigrette of confusion and conflict." - Lemony Snicket.
Isabella Caudill - Isabella was escorted by her parents, Shannon and Glenn Caudill, and sister Victoria Caudill. She has been a member of the Color Guard for one year. She is also a member of the volleyball, tennis, and sftball teams. She is a member of the FFA where she serves as president. She is, also, the president of Student Council and Upward Bound. Isabella pland to attend EKU after graduation where she will explore education and child developement. Her quote is, "I am the result of every person who chose to believe in me."
Thomas O'Connor - Thomas was escorted by his parents, Amanda and Greg O'Connor. He has been a member of the cross country and track and field teams for four years. Thosmas is also a member of skills and FBLA. He plans to attend EKU to double major in aret and general business. Thomas' quote is "Your focus determines your reality." - Qui-Gon Jine
Macy Smith - Macy was escorted by her parents, Kendra and Eric Smith, along with her stepfather, Josh Caudill, siblings, Elijha and Emery Caudill. She has been a cheerleader for one year. Macy is also a member of the tenning team for four years, FBLA secretary for one year and a member of HOSA and Beta Club. Macy plans to attend Morehead State University to later become a radiologic tech. Her quote is, "Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your path."
Makayleigh Ward - Makayleigh was escorted by her mom, Melissa Ward. Makayleigh has been a member of the cheerleading squad for one year. She has also been a member of the tennis team for five years, FBLA 4 years, Beta Club 4 years, EETS 3 years, FBLA VP 1 year, and FBLA President 1 year. Makayleigh plans to attend Morehead State University and major in marketing annd become a creative director. Her quote is, " You are allowed to make a big deal out of things that matter to you."
Lauren Peters - Lauren was escorted by her mother, Jennifer Burgess, Grandfather Larry Burgess, Grandfather Denvand Peters, in rememberence of her late father and fellow LCHS student, Scottie Peters. Lauren has been cheering for one year and tennis for 6 years. Also she has been a member of FBLA 4 years, Beta Club 2 years, and ETS for four years. Lauren plans to attend University of Kentucky, majoring in Integrated Strategic Communications. Her quote is, "If I am lucky, I will get through hard things, and they will make me gentle to the ways of the world." - Zach Bryan
Jocelynn Peck - Jocelynn was escorted by her parents Sarah Peck and Chris Brewer, and brother Coby Brewer. Jocelynn has been a cheerleader for one year. She has also been a member of Beta Club four years, FBLA four years, where she also served as an officer for one year. She plans to attend Morehead state University where she wants to become an OBGYN sonographer. Her quote is, "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."
Jared Lucas - Jared was escorted by his father Jonah Lucasa and his mother, Alisha Watts. Jared has played basketball for four years and is alos a member of the bowling team, winning the regional title this year. He plans on attending the University of the Cumberlands to study physical therapy and to be on the bowling team. His quote is, "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodby so hard." - A.A. Milne
