Butler-Iacono Chosen to Serve 2nd Term on KRADD Board of Directors as a Lee County Citizen Representative

Jessica Butler-Iacono, the Publisher-GM of the Beattyville Enterprise and the Booneville Sentinel, has been chosen to serve a second term as the Lee County Citizen Representative on the KRADD Board of Directors.

     A KRADD Citizen Representative is an individual who serves on the Kentucky River Area Development District (KRADD) Board of Directors and acts as a representative of the citizens within one of the eight counties that  KRADD serves. Also, a Citizen Representative helps to ensure that the needs and interests of the local citizens are communicated and considered in the decision-making processes and initiatives undertaken by KRADD.

     The Kentucky River Area Development District (KRADD) is a quasi-governmental agency that collaborates with local city and county governments to enhance the quality of life for residents in the Kentucky River region.

     The KRADD Board of Directors consists of both elected officials and citizen representatives from each of the member counties that consists of Breathitt, Knott, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Owsley, Perry, and Wolfe Counties.

     Mrs. Butler-Iacono was nominated  by Mayor Scott Jackson with the support of Lee County Judge-Executive Steve Mays as a 2nd term Lee County Citizen Representative.

     Mrs. Butler-Iacono not only serves on the KRADD Board, but she also serves on the Mercy Health Foundation Board, the Hospice Care Plus Advisory Committee, along with the Kentucky Press Association Board, where she is serving her third term.

     Mrs. Butler-Iacono is a 7th generation Lee Countian who is married to Darren, a JROTC Instructor at Breathitt County High School. They share 3 children, along with 2 grandchildren (with #3 due in November). Their youngest, Colt William, is a 7th grader at Lee County Middle High School.
