Burnis Fox, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at his home in Beattyville, KY. Burnis was born July 9, 1942 in Beattyville, KY, a son to the late John Fox & Mae (Clark) Fox. He was a farmer, and a member of the Fullness of the Word church, in Beattyville, KY. Along with his wife of 61years; Carol (Bell) Fox, he is survived by daughter; Loretta (Fox) Haddix, 3 sisters; Sue Coby, Henrietta Miller, and Sharon Johnson, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving family members, and friends.
Along with his parents; John & Mae Fox, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Angela Fox Rose, 2 sons; Burnis & James Fox, 6 sisters; Naomi Childers, Gwen Farmer, Bertha Frisby, Barbara Chrisman, Francis Shelton, Lottie Combs, 3 brothers; Bobby Fox, Gerald Fox, and Willie Fox. Funeral services November 3, 2023 at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Johnson officiating. He was laid to rest in the Fox-Haddix Cemetery located in Beattyville, KY. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Rose, Adam Rose, Brad Lawson, Travis Friend, Jacob Cody Lloyd, and Josh Shelton.
