Stephen Edward Stamper

Stephen Edward Stamper, husband of Sheila Marlene Moore Stamper and son of the late Edward and Mary Agnes Kennedy Stamper was born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 4, 1956 and departed this life at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on September 7, 2024 at the age of 67 years, 9 months, and 3 days. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Throughout his life, he wore many hats working as a City Water Manager for the city of Buckhorn, Maintenance worker for the Buckhorn Children’s Center, self-employed auto-body technician, EMT for the Perry County Ambulance Service, as well as a volunteer firefighter.

  In addition to his wife, Sheila Stamper of Beattyville, Kentucky, Stephen is survived by his son, Matthew Stamper, also of Beattyville. 

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Stamper and grandfather, Elijah Stamper. Services held Sept. 12th, 2024 at Mooretown Cemetery prior to burial, located Highway 52 of Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
