Elma Crystal Abner,

Elma Crystal Abner, wife of the late Frank Abner and daughter of the late Ornia and Lucille Spencer was born in Primrose, Kentucky on March 9, 1935 and departed this life in Campton, Kentucky on September 12, 2024 at the age of 89 years, 6 months, and 3 days. She retired from the Lee County School System and attended Beattyville Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School for many years.  She is survived by one sister, Marjorie Routt and husband George of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Arvin Abner and wife Pauline of Hustonville, Kentucky and Forrest Abner of Beattyville, Kentucky; one daughter, Danna Hensley and husband Danny of Jackson, Kentucky; one step granddaughter, Tammy Toombs; step great grandson, Dustin Toombs; step great-great grandson, Lucas Toombs all of Standford, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

   In addition to her husband Frank Abner and her parents, Ornia and Lucille Spencer, Elma was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Spencer and Farley Spencer; one sister, Shirley Edgley; one nephew, Farley Ray Spencer, Jr; and one niece, Jeanena Spencer. 

   Services held Sept. 14th-15th, 2024 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Burial; Abner Cemetery of Blankey Branch Rd of Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
