Fani Gay-Wahl

Fani Gay-Wahl, age 79, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH. Fani was born December 23, 1944, in Island City, KY, a daughter to the late Andy Chadwell, and Lucille (Bowman) Chadwell. She was a homemaker, and in her free-time she enjoyed crafting, florals, gardening, and bird watching.

Along with her husband of over 30 years; Daniel Wahl, she is survived by 1 son; James (Kemberly) Gay, 1 daughter; Andrea (Tedd Holbrook) Paul, 1 brother; David Chadwell, 1 sister; Shirley Burton, grandchildren; Jamie Gelfand, Jeremy Gay, Jenna Gay, Kain Paul, Ethan Paul, and Zoey Paul, great-grandchildren; Krayton Dean Gay, and Owen James Gelfand, special loved ones; Doris Gay, Ron and Myrdle Gay, Phil and Linda Gay, Aaron and Sandy Gay, Melinda Borchers Gay, and many other loving family members, and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11:30 am at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Gay Family Cemetery, located in Beattyville, KY. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
