EKU’s Class of 2025 ranges in age from 17 to 79 years old. They come from 15 countries, 42 states and 103 Kentucky counties; 40% are the first in their families to attain a higher education degree. The top degrees awarded include nursing, psychology, criminal justice, general business and communication disorders.
“I set out to achieve educational goals at the age of 66. I am appreciative of EKU for providing me with an experience I have regretted not participating in during my youth,” said Dawn Washington, who is graduating with a degree in communication studies. “Through my experiences with my coursework, I hope I have been able to inspire my adult children, nieces and nephews to pursue higher education as well, and I hope to continue to inspire them. I hope that my grandchildren are in the audience when I graduate so that perhaps they will be inspired to reach for the stars in education.”
A livestream of the ceremonies will be available at youtube.com/ekustories on the day of commencement. Find more information about this year’s ceremonies, including a campus map and visitor information at go.eku.edu/graduation.
