Roy Mitchell Lawson,

 Roy Mitchell Lawson, son of the late Clarence and Spicie Mae Seales Lawson was born in Richmond, Kentucky on January 5, 1939 and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on March 20, 2025 at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 15 days. He was a former self- employed brick layer. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Ray B. Lawson and wife Karen of Cincinnati, Ohio, Gwendolyn Overbee and husband John of Stanton, Kentucky, Terry W. Lawson of Hamilton, Ohio, and Charlotte Lawson of Beattyville, Kentucky; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by one sister, Francis Ann Thomas; and one brother, Roger Dale Lawson. Services were held at Newnam Funeral Home on Monday, March 24, 2025 with Bro. Vernon Raines officiating. Burial followed in the Couch-Brandenburg Cemetery.
