William Raymond “Bill” Ross

William Raymond “Bill” Ross, husband of Wanda Louise Evans Ross and son of the late Charles and Oma Blevins Ross was born in Heidelberg, Kentucky on February 10, 1933 and departed this life in Beattyville, Kentucky on March 9, 2025 at the age of 92 years and 27 days. He was former Waymaster for the Cincinnati Stockyards, employ of the railroad for 5 years, and retired as the pastor of the Heidelberg Apostolic Church of God. Bill leaves behind his wife, Wanda Ross of Beattyville; two daughters, Carol Ross Hines of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sharon Asher Steele and husband Shelby of Beattyville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Edward Asher of Heidelberg, Kentucky and Katie Asher Fredrick and husband Adam of Argyle, Texas; four great grandchildren, Connor and Trinity Asher and Madelyn and Isaac Briggs; his sister and brother, Naomi Calvert of Heidelberg and Gene Ross of New Paris, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Walter Hines; and his brothers and sisters, Dorsey, Cecil, Mary Emily, Bessie, Ruby, Leslie, Paul, and Jim.

  Funeral Service held March 14th, 2025 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Burial; Addison Cemetery HWY 399 Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
