Clay City Man Dies in House Fire

Clay City Fire Department reported last week on March 6th, that a house on Black Creek Road near Clay City caught fire.
The Powell County Coroner reports that an adult man was found dead in the home. Preliminary results of an autopsy showed the cause of death was smoke inhalation.
The fire department believes the fire started in the back bedroom of the house. The Clay City Fire Department and the Stanton Fire Department responded quickly and put out the fire.
