Johnnie Houston Marcum, age 67, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at his home in Beattyville, KY.
Johnnie was born October 30, 1957 in Richmond, KY. He was an avid antiquer, and in his spare-time, he loved to hunt, and fish. He was a nurse at Lee Adjustment Center for 25 years, a member of the Methodist faith, and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Johnny Marcum, and Joyce (Hunter) Marcum, and brother; Rodney Marcum.
He is survived by his fiancé of 23 years; Joni Hayes, his children; Rachel (James) Burrell of Berea, Tamanya Marcum of McKee, and Jordan (Miranda) Marcum of Irvine, stepson; Dylan (Amanda) Hayes of Staffordsville, 12 grandchildren; Logan (Kenzie), Alexus, Aaleigha, Cayden, Peyton, Addisyn, Kennedy, Houston, Cameron, Maliah, Beau, and Langston. He is survived by 1 sister; Javenne (Earl) Brandenburg of Irvine, KY, 2 brothers; Teddy (Cindy) Marcum of Winchester, and Brian (Lesa) Marcum of Booneville, and many special nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Boonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home, with Rev. J. Jamison Brunk officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Marcum Family Cemetery, located in Pebworth, KY.
