GARY GENE LYNCH

GARY GENE LYNCH, the husband of Anna Lou Cope Lynch of Booneville, Kentucky, and the son of the late George Francis and Lily Christine Brewer Lynch, was born in Oneida, Kentucky on February 5, 1945, and departed this life at his home in Owsley County, Kentucky on January 21, 2025, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 16 days.

   He was an Army veteran, a retired permits engineer for the Kentucky Department of Transportation, was formerly involved with the Owsley County Little League for 40 years where he coached his two sons, his grandsons, and his granddaughters. He was a man who loved his family and loved his Lord. He was a member of the Gideons for several years, was a member of the Royal Oak Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, song leader, Sunday school teacher and treasurer.
    In addition to his wife Anna, Mr. Lynch is survived by one son, Brent Douglas Lynch and wife Heather of Booneville; five grandchildren, Dean Andrew Lynch and wife Payton of Booneville, Brandon Scott Lynch II of Beattyville, Kentucky, Serena Alexis Lynch, Aaliyah Marie Lynch and Zayden Brent Lynch all of Booneville; four great grandchildren, Ella Klae McWhorter, Lydia Norscott Lynch, Heidi Drew Lynch and Kade Douglas Polly all of Booneville; his daughter in-law, Angela Denise Lynch-Newnam and husband Mike of Beattyville; his sister, Janie Coomer and husband Larry of Booneville; and a host of cousins, other family, and many friends.
   In addition to his parents, Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Scott Lynch.
     Services were held at Royal Oak Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Hays officiating on Saturday, January 25, 2025 and burial following in Lynch
Cemetery. Newnam Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
