Audrey Smith

Audrey Smith, age 79, departed from this life on January 7, 2025 at the Lee County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Beattyville, KY.

  Audrey was born July 3, 1945 in Sturgeon, KY to the late Henry Brandenburg and Cleo (Gabbard) Brandenburg. She was a homemaker and loved being a waitress at the Purple Cow Restaurant in Beattyville, KY. She was a member of Royal Oak Baptist Church in Sturgeon, KY.

   She is survived by one son; Gary (Robin) Neeley of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, one daughter; Tammy Roberts of Beattyville, KY, and 2 grandchildren whom she adored; Drew and Taylor Roberts, along with many other loving family members and friends.

   Audrey was preceded in death by two husbands; McKinley Neeley and Billy Smith, her parents, Henry and Cleo Brandenburg, nine brothers; Royce, Clifton, Walker, Jimmy, Clyde, Bill, Ray, Ed and Ruford Brandenburg and 2 sisters; Lucy Tirey and Bonnie Taylor.

    Funeral services  held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Dezarn officiating. Audrey was laid to rest in the Gabbard-Tackett Cemetery, located in Travellers Rest, KY. The Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
