Peggy Gentry,

 Peggy Gentry, age 72, departed this life on January 9, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

   Peggy was born November 20, 1952 in Booneville, KY, to the late Lucien and Hazel (Moore) Campbell. She was a homemaker and for many years has been a secretary at the Owsley County Elementary School in Booneville, KY. She was a great encouragement to many people during her career and was loved by many. She was a faithful member of the Spencer Fork Church.

   She is survived by one son; Cameron (Melissa) Gentry of Berea, KY, one daughter; Dionne McIntosh of Booneville, KY, two granddaughters who she adored; Kaylee and Kimberly McIntosh, nieces; Martina Pickett, Tina Cornwell, Katrina Jett, Joni Young and Anita Gail Spence, nephews; Ron Campbell, and Duane Pickett, along with many other loving family members and friends.

   Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years; Roger Gentry, her parents, Lucien and Hazel Campbell, brother; Ronnie Campbell, sister; Roma Gail Pickett, nephew; Shane Pickett and son in law; David McIntosh.

     Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Vandeventer officiating. Peggy will be laid to rest in the Campbell-Gipson Cemetery, located in Booneville, KY. The Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
