January 08, 2025
The first Wellness Day of 2025 is set for Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will offer a variety of health-related events.
Walmart invites communities to embrace a healthier lifestyle this year by joining them for the first Wellness Day of 2025 on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. At Wellness Day, customers can receive a variety of free health screenings including glucose, cholesterol, body mass index and blood pressure as well as affordable immunizations like flu, COVID-19, HPV, mumps, measles and more at nearly 4,600 pharmacies nationwide. Select stores will also feature vision screenings, in-store giveaways and demonstrations of wellness products.
Wellness Day also offers a chance for families to chat with pharmacists about topics like maintaining a healthy lifestyle, medications, recommended vaccinations and more, including health journeys for women currently or hoping to become pregnant. Pharmacists can discuss nutrition recommendations during pregnancy and beyond, like the importance of folic acid and its impact on a growing baby’s development.
Walmart Wellness Day events include the following health resources, administered by qualified pharmacy and Vision Center teams:
Free health screenings: Glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, vision screenings (select locations) and others.
Affordable immunizations: Flu, COVID-19, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, rubella (MMR), varicella (chicken pox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), Hepatitis A & B and more.
Wellness resources and the opportunity to talk with pharmacists.
Since 2014, Walmart pharmacies have hosted Wellness Days across the country, which has contributed to more than 5 million free health screenings for customers. More than 4,000 Walmart stores are in areas that are experiencing a shortage of medical providers, meaning that Walmart is often the first stop for health care in rural and underserved communities.
